Great for rentals, used them year after year!
My family rented 3 kayaks and 4 paddle boats for a few days recently. The whole experience was so easy! I was able to secure the boats over the phone and have them delivered for a small fee. Well worth it! Jack kept me informed about his arrival time and was there when promised. All the equipment was in great condition and Everyone who I dealt with, on the phone or in person, were so friendly and helpful! They also were understanding when we temporarily misplaced an oar and allowed us to return it to the Brewster location since it was closer to our house. Next time we are on the Cape I will call Jacks again!
I went to rent a canoe. I'd heard they would bring a boat to various locations in Wellfleet. The manager refused. He tried to sell me an older aluminum canoe for $200, saying it was a friend's. He got really pissy when I asked if he'd tested it, and I tried to negotiate a better price. He tried to turn it into a $100 wager, and then said he didn't want to sell it to me anymore. Typical hustler.
The staff at Jack's were very friendly, accommodating, and reliable. Jack and Debbie are very knowledgeable and helpful. We rented 3 kayaks for an excellent price and they were very clean. Boat hands are courteous and friendly. They even let us borrow strap downs which were super helpful!! We kayaked at Wellfleet Peer and it was very beautiful. Just remember to check the tides before going on the water, the water level makes a big difference in your row. We hope to rent from Jack's soon when we come back to this area.
