At the beginning of the pier there are numerous fantastic restaurants, an art gallery, and a small building for purchasing beach stickers, dump stickers, beach fire permits, and other beach department services.
Great peaceful spot! Sure there's all the hustle and bustle of the shellfisherman and tourists getting great food but there's the serenity of the water, too!

This is an obvious stopping point when walking Wellfleet. Awesome oysters, a working dock, and plenty of galleries. Don't forget the ice cream.
This is my husbands and my office! Wish there was parking for commercial fisherman only as all the tourists take the spots that those who work out of the harbor require!
They also host dances and music at the far end of the pier, most always hosted by the Wellfleet recreation department.
New and improved, this pier has a double lane boat ramp, Harbor master building, bathrooms, multiple restaurants, art gallery, and now a long side walk going around the outer edge. Numerous benches along the walkway, and a few octagon picnic tables. They offer daily boat launching, parking, and any other services normal for a Harbor master.
It's almost always half full of cars, but the parking goes to the end of the pier, so there is always room, if you're willing to walk.
